Daisy Grenade lit up the stage at the packed A&R Bar in Columbus, Ohio. The crowd’s energy was so bright as they kicked off with the first song off their new EP “So Much to Say”. The song title - “A Beautiful Woman Is A Weapon, I Guess That’s Why They Call Her A Bombshell” - feels like it was pulled right out of a Fall Out Boy album. The whole setlist flowed together with ease, well-curated across their discography. Their VIP fans got to pick a song before the show and chose their first single “Baby Blackout”.
The bubbly duo served up some girly grunge pop that is simply irresistible. Columbus ate up every bit of it, dancing and singing with the band. With songs that feel conversational and relatable, mixed in with an array of pop-punk and alternative vibes with their own spark, how could you not enjoy? Their lyrics contain personal experiences, emotions, bad decisions, and opinions. They’re very expressive and entertaining, they interacted a lot with the crowd and went to the very end of the stage to sing out directly to fans.
They looked like they were having fun, dancing with each other and their band members. Daisy Grenade has toured with emo icons like Fall Out Boy and Pierce the Veil, and was mentored by Pete Wentz. The entire band is incredibly talented and captivating, and I highly recommend them.
