The “Angel” North America Headline (Unprocessed) Tour made its way to Carrboro, North Carolina on May 5, 2026. The venue of choice was none other than the Cat's Cradle Main Room. The four piece group hails from Wiesbaden, Germany and formed in 2013 and is known for their emotional lyrics that sends a sense of relevance to their listeners alongside their melodic sound and heavy textures.
Upon entering the alley way at Cat's Cradle the fans were lined up waiting for entry. The diverse collective each show gathers never ceases to warm my heart. Fans from different cities, backgrounds and ages. Each person seemed to hold such anticipation for the show ahead. As the door time arrived, the line shuffled forward. I took notice of the signage that gave the courteous notice of the lightshow to come for the tour sets. “Flash/Strobe Light Warning”. For me this brought further curiosity for me as a creative.
Midwinter opened the night and Allt was the direct support to Unprocessed. The crowd continued to pack in closer and fill up the floor as the night progressed. Energy coursed through the crowd, fans meeting bands word for word lyrically as the artists gave their all on the stage.
The lights dimmed and it was time for Unprocessed to make their appearance. The crowd surged forward as the lights centered on the stage and the members entered. The crowd roared and there was a moment of adoration from the members as they looked at the fans just behind the barricade. Just then the music began, the lightshow took off and everything in that moment suddenly felt whole for everyone experiencing Unprocessed. Melodic sound, heavy riffs and artistry were present throughout the entire set from beginning to end.
One of the moments I took back from the night was when Manuel took a brief moment and spoke to the fans. He asked about who had seen them prior to tonight and then asked again who was seeing them for the first time. Numerous hands raised in response to both questions. Manuel proceeded to thank the fans for the support and opportunity given to a group of guys from a small town in Germany. I looked around the venue as he continued to speak and the smiles and heart were visibly familiar as both fans and members mirrored one another.
A highlight from the night was the electric cello played by David Levy (Bassist) during Dark, Silent And Complete from their latest album Angel. A truly mesmerizing moment.
If you haven't had a moment to discover Unprocessed head over to their socials, music platforms and website for up to date information. A few personal song suggestions to start with would be “Sacrifice Me”, “111”, “Snowlover” and “Beyond Heaven's Gate”. Such an incredible opportunity to cover the Angel tour. Thank you to the artists, tour management and venue for all the hard work and organization.
