Wilt may have entered the night as an opening act, but they performed with the confidence of a band ready to headline their own room. From the first moments, the lighting helped establish the mood, creating a visual backdrop that complemented the band's sound without overshadowing it. At the center of the performance was a remarkably powerful vocal presence—bracing, expressive, and capable of cutting through the hazy layers of guitars that define the band's indie and shoegaze aesthetic.
The guitars provided another highlight. Rather than relying on sheer volume or excessive distortion, Wilt used just enough intensity to give the songs a sharp live edge, allowing their dreamy textures to retain their character while still carrying plenty of energy. The result was a sound that felt atmospheric without ever becoming passive.
What ultimately separated Wilt from a typical opening act, however, was their connection with the audience. That exchange gave the set an infectious momentum and demonstrated that Wilt understands one of the most important elements of live music: making people feel like they are part of the experience.
If this is only the beginning, Wilt is a band worth keeping on the radar.
IN COLOR
Had the room singing along with almost as much volume as the singer on the mic
Vibrant and moving the band definitely gave an impression upon Raleigh why alt indie rock is still killing it in the music scene

Now finally, JUTES
The man leading the band. Enigmatic and inspiring. The way the crowd roared once the band came on stage then Jutes walked up to the front with his leather jacket and vested attire. Twas only happy screams you heard then. Hit us with “Cry wolf” to start the set following by a song for the fellow freaks as he put it “smut”.
This just kick-started the movement. In the crowd we had people dancing, singing loudly, and immersing in the music. Even an incredibly vulnerable moment between songs where jutes explains how music saved his life and how he hoped to be a voice to relate with for others out there who might've struggled with internal turmoil as well as with a loss of another during this moment they prepared “ take care of her” the rawness of this was inspiring how the crowd echoed alongside Jutes was mesmerizing.

Truly a show to remember and of course a booming end with the pit taking over for the closeout songs with “Disassociate” album title “Chin up, Beautiful” and the song that changed his life, "Sleepyhead”
If you have not caught jutes or listened to his band yet. Do yourself a favor book a ticket catch a show listen and share the tunes if you like heavy music with a smooth emotional mix to it.
